I went to Phoenix Comicon (now Phoenix Fan Fusion) in 2012. I had a somewhat bad time due to I had an impromptu knee surgery a few weeks before the con because a button from a previous surgery was going into the knee joint and was causing extreme pain. I had to skip many panels I was excited for because I got tired fast due to the closeness of the surgery despite using my mom's electric scooter to get around the con. I made sure to do three things: get a photo with Vic, get it signed, and attend his concert. The photo was because the one I took the year before with this Ed pumpkin I made didn't come out well (side note: I also made one for him which he seemed to love). So I brought it back along with my Al pumpkin to get a picture with both with him. When he saw the Ed pumpkin, he recognized me from 2011 and was excited to see me again. The next event I went to for him was the concert. The con was able to accommodate the scooter, giving me a spot close to the front that was close to the center isle. At one point, Vic was talking about what helped inspire him to play piano when he mentioned Barry Manilow. Right when he was starting to play a song, he asked if there was anyone named "Mandy". There was no answer, so he asked about "Sandy". When there was no answer, I said that my name was Brandy. He told me to come up towards the stage and started to play Mandy only with my name (Brandy). At one point he got to the line "And you kissed me and stopped me from shaking" he paused and looked at the audience. I blew him a kiss, but I didn't expect him to get up and bend down so I could kiss his cheek. That action completely made up for how bad the con was going for me. The last event was me getting my photo op signed by him. When it came my turn, he recognized me from the concert and sang "Oh Brandy", which made me so happy. He even signed the photo "Oh Brandy". It was thanks to Vic's actions that made what would have been one of the worst cons I attended to a great one.
Dear Mr. Vic, I have always wanted the chance to meet you. Unfortunately due to many reasons beyond my control, I always miss you at SacAnime. I am extremely proud of you for standing up for all of this nonsense. There are so many people on your side Vic, you are not alone in this fight!
Vic, I stand with you and appreciate your strong sense of integrity. You have only ever been a vision of Christ for me--and I want you to know it's appreciated. I was afraid that sooner or later your stances might make you the target to some--but I have no hate towards anyone involved in this whole thing. I'll be praying for you. Isaiah 30:15.
I know I'll always be on his side! I just have a feeling he's truly a wonderful person! If he hasn't shown his wonderfulness enough already! I'm a rather big fan of his voice and how kind he is! I've watched him in "ask the character" at cons over and over again! I also apologize for my formatting I have high functioning autism haha But I just really really wanted to show how much I support him and love his personality! I even made a picture of him! I couldn't exactly portray his attitude or capture his energy the way I wanted to, but I hope you think it's nice! If you like hugs I send big warm ones! I love hugs! But only if you want them of course, hahaha! Thank you for taking the time to look at my little thing here, please have a wonderful day!
Hi Vic! I'm not quite sure you'll ever see this. But I'm a big fan. I've always wanted to be a voice actor, and I truly admire your work. I got into dragon ball around 2 years ago after my mother passed and was excited to find out a Broly movie was being released and that you were in it. You're seriously a legend and had a huge impact on my life. If by chance you do see this, I wish you the best of luck and hope everything works out in life. Keep on being awesome, Vic
