Popping in my brand new Selah II CD to start typing this up.
I cannot stress how much I enjoy Vic's company. I flew out from Phoenix to see him in San Jose this weekend, and from start to finish Vic was and has always been a gentleman. It was just as rewarding to see him interacting with the other fans as it was to interact with him myself. The smile that reaches his eyes, the full attention to the little details he puts into every interaction. The fact that he never pushed any of us away when we went back to see him after seeing him two or three times in one day. He took every possible second he could spare with his fans. Every last person who came to him. He gave us all more than a moment, he gave us a memory, if one only feels it was a moment, it was a moment of love, a moment of acceptance, and a moment of belonging.
Admittedly, I have issues with strangers, and for a reason I cannot pin down, I am wary of men in general. I sat next to Vic for like a half hour and was just as at home as if I had been sitting with my own family.
