We all experience dark points in our lives. I was going through one of my darkest. I spent most of my spare time watching anime as an escape. My favorites were Fullmetal Alchemist and Ouran Highschool Host Club. My favorite characters were Ed and Tamaki. This led me to see what an amazing person Vic was. Whenever I was feeling sad I would watch Vic's panels and interactions with fans. He is kind-hearted, compassionate, and genuine. Vic made me realize there is good in the world. His words of encouragement are still with me. I met Vic at Colossalcon East 2017. I remember being so nervous. Vic was so kind and considerate. That's when I gave Vic the gift I made for him, a shirt with patches from different series he's been in. I wrote a special message on the back about what he meant to me and a lot of other people as well. Vic loved it so much he showed it to everyone then gave me a big hug and told me how much he appreciated what I wrote on the back. The next day I got to talk to him and thank him again at a panel. Though, I don't think I'll ever be able to thank him enough. More fans came forward to tell him how much he's helped them during their hard times too. He thanked us, telling us how humbled and honored he was. He started tearing up mentioning the message I wrote on the back on the shirt I gave him and it's safe to say I was too. Months later I got to see Vic again at Tekko 2018. He lit up after recognizing me and said I looked beautiful. I remember being in tears. I was so honored. Vic is my hero and I'm proud to stand with him.
