Mr. Mignogna, I know you meet fans all over the world, thousands a year, but I met you a few years back and I want to thank you. It was 2015 or 2016 in Atlanta, I can't remember the convention but it was either Dragoncon or Anime Weekend Atlanta. I met you in an elevator, I was in a lot of pain due to some disabilities and you noticed and struck up a conversation asking if I was ok. I told you about my physical problems and how I wanted to power through it because I was with my friends and surrounded by people like me, anime fans. I didn't immediately recognize who you were but you listened and asked if you could pray for me. I told you I wasn't very religious but if you wanted to pray for me you could. You shook my hand and introduced yourself to me, I told you I was a big fan and apologized for not recognizing you and you laughed with me. The doors opened and we went our separate ways. I have never forgotten that meeting. Meeting you has been one of the highlights of my life and your encouragement that day has helped me get through many things with my health as well as giving me the courage to ask the woman I love to marry me (she said yes by the way). We both want you to know we are always sending you positive energy and want you to know we and all your fans thank you for everything you do. Anime is one of the things we bonded over as a couple, we even named our pets after characters (a cat named Goku and we'll be naming our dog Broly once we adopt him) so it is close to our hearts. I know you get many fan letters but I felt in light of all the events going on I had to let you know that your fans are sending you prayers and positive energy. We hope to see you at another convention so we can thank you in person for being amazing. We love you Vic.
